PROJECT OVERVIEW
Bringing creative AI tools into one product experience.
I shaped GENVA from an AI Hub idea into a shared mobile and tablet experience, connecting brand identity, product architecture and creative communication.
THE STARTING POINT
Starting from an AI hub idea.
There was no established product to build on. The starting point was an ambition: bring AI Video, AI Music, AI Home Decoration and AI Image creation into one platform. I shaped the product structure, interface and visual identity from that foundation.
The longer-term vision was to let people use these creation tools together. I first needed to make the individual tools discoverable and give them a coherent place within the hub.
Genva was new, but our experience was not. Before it, we had been improving Vimo, our other AI creation app, through user feedback and ongoing product development. I carried those learnings into Genva.
Four tools, one app.
The opportunity was to bring video, image, music and spatial creation into one coherent experience. I connected these tools through a shared product structure, interface language and brand identity.

DISCOVERY & NAVIGATION
Multiple ways to start creating.
I designed the home screen around quick actions, trending templates, AI models and prompt starters. People could begin with a tool or start from a ready-made idea.
A deliberate navigation hierarchy
Home, Video, Music and AI Home Decoration became persistent destinations. The central + action opened all four creation modes, including AI Image, which had a less prominent position in the tab bar.
Templates lower the starting effort
I foregrounded trends and templates, then added prompt starters so creation did not always depend on writing a prompt from scratch.

Introducing the hub
I designed onboarding alongside the product structure, so the first encounter and the creation tools shared the same visual language.
LEARNING FROM VIMO
Making model selection understandable.
In Vimo, users told us that model differences were not clear enough. I used that feedback to make capabilities and language support more visible in Genva’s model detail sheets.
Explain the choice before generation
I designed bottom sheets to describe model strengths through qualities such as consistency, quality, emotion, creativity and speed, alongside language support. The aim was to give users context for choosing a model.
Experience carried between products
This direction came from work already done on Vimo: improving the existing app, responding to feedback and applying what we learned to a new product.
CATEGORY-SPECIFIC EXPERIENCES
One framework, different creation flows.
Each category needed its own home, content and input structure. I kept the shared product language while adapting the interaction to what people were creating.

DURING & AFTER GENERATION
Creation continues beyond Generate.
I designed the experience so users could keep exploring while generation continued. Profile became a shared library for ongoing and completed work, organised with filter chips and a masonry grid.
Creating your video
Your image is being turned into motion. This usually takes 15-20 seconds.
Keep progress part of the product
Generation status belongs alongside the user’s other creations. The result view then makes the next actions explicit, instead of ending the experience at the generated output.
FEEDBACK & SUPPORT
Designing for unsuccessful outcomes.
An unwanted result and a technical failure need different responses. I designed feedback and support paths around the user’s choices, with separate scenarios for review, credit refunds and appropriate recovery offers.
Understand what went wrong
Feedback choices help distinguish an output that missed expectations from a failed generation. I tailored the content and follow-up steps to the reported issue.
Give the next step a clear purpose
I mapped cases for investigation, credit returns and offers such as a 50% discount, depending on the scenario. These were designed support paths, not a single generic error message.
DESIGN SYSTEM
Building the system behind the experience.
I built the design system alongside the product. As categories and states multiplied, foundations and reusable variants kept the work connected.
Foundations
I drew the logo and defined typography, colours, icons and spacing.
Atoms, molecules & organisms
I organised and named the system so smaller parts could compose into larger interface structures.
Cards & bottom sheets
Variants supported the different content, categories, feedback scenarios and action requirements.
Inputs & prompt areas
Category-specific prompt fields and form variants were connected back to the shared system.
BRAND & LAUNCH
Taking the product to market.
My role extended beyond mobile product design. I drew the logo, built the visual identity, produced the AI-generated images and videos, and designed the email, store and Google Ads creative.

A recognisable product language needs to carry from choosing a tool to using an output, and into the way the product is introduced.
